Powdery mildew

Characteristics:

While most fungi thrive in moist surroundings, powdery mildews do well in dry conditions. They also prefer warm days, cool nights, and shade.

Many garden and landscape plants are susceptible to one or more species of powdery mildew. Symptoms usually first appear as grey or white powdery growth on leaves.
