Social Issues - CEED Centre Society
Capacity Building

While our main mandate is community education on environment and development, the overlap with social issues is strong in many cases. The CEED Centre Society is currently involved with community capacity building primarily through the Community Access Program (CAP), which seeks to bridge the digital divide (those without access to information and communications technology) by providing computers and Internet access free to the public.

Non-Profit Funding Structures

An entire gaming industry and bureacracy have sprung up in British Columbia on the premise that NPOs can benefit from the funds raised. Is there a better way to structure how we fund the growing NPO sector in light of the fact that they deliver many quasi-governmental services. Join us to explore this issue.

TILMA Forum

The CEED Centre joined other community organizations in the Spring of 2007 in presenting a pubic forum on the Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement to increase public understanding of this complex and far-reaching agreement. Join us to bring information such as this to the public.
