Board Members
The
CEED Centre (Fraser Information Society) has benefited from
the direction of many people since 1984, more than appear
below. We would like to acknowledge their wide-ranging contributions.
We ask those that have served on the Board to send a photo
and a short bio about their FIS days to the Executive
Director so that they may be acknowledged.
Pat
Senft
Pat
was president from 199x to 2004. We benefited for many years
from her gardening expertise and activism in the community.
Pat first joined the Board in 199x and has been a member
since May 1992.
Jan
Westlund
Jan
served as treasurer from December 2003 to September 2005.
We are grateful for her diligent efforts to establish good
governance practices and for her ongoing contributions to
the Campaign for Pesticide Reduction. She first joined as
a member in June 1992.
Selene
Jacobson

Selene
served on the Board from 199x to September 2005, including
a two-year stint as Treasurer. She helped to keep the Society
and its gardens blooming in all senses of the word. She
is also President of the Maple
Ridge Garden Club.
Bill
Elder 
Bill
served as Director from 2004-2006, taking a leadership role
in the Celebrate Earth Day festival and policy matters.
Bill is a retired secondary teacher who taught in Maple
Ridge for many years with distinction. He has served on
many community organization boards, including the Ridge
Meadows Recycling Society (chair).
Stepan
Vdovine
Stepan
served as a Director from September 2005 to October 2006.
He was concurrently a school board trustee for SD42.
John
Earley
John
joined the Board in 2004 and served as Secretary until October
2007. In addition to leading the Personnel Committee for
most of his three terms, he used his excellent analytical
skills to assist the organization . He also used his IT
background to assist in setting up the technological needs
of the Society.
Sheila
Smyth
Sheila
served from October 2006 to October 2007, lending her pen
to many Society efforts. Her interests focus on facilitating
communication between citizen groups and helping find common
ground for more effective action.
