CEED Centre Society Events

Earth Day Celebration

The CEED Centre co-sponsors the Earth Day Celebration in April each year. In past years, the event was held at the CEED Centre. To increase the event's profile, the 2006 Celebration was held at the Bandstand in downtown Maple Ridge. See www.mapleridgeearthday.org for details.

Workshops

The CEED Centre presents workshops on environmental topics and organic gardening from time to time. Examples of past topics include "How to Get Your Lawn Off Drugs," "Growing Salads in Containers" and Healthy Homes and Gardens (alternatives to household chemicals)."

The Ridge Meadows Recycling Society presents a regular series of composting and worm composting workshops at the Port Haney Compost Education Garden at our Centre each year.
