Society
The CEED Centre Society,
formerly the Fraser Information Society, is dedicated to
community education on environment and development. The
Society operates several long-term projects out of the CEED
Centre in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada.
Sharing Backyards Initiative
We have become a Sharing Backyards partner. This program links people with planting space available to those looking for it. See the map.
Pilot
School Gardens Project
The
CEED Centre is part of a six-organization partnership creating
school garden and cooking programs at elementary schools
in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. A pilot program at Glenwood
Elementary is now in its second growing season. The other
partners are
the District of Maple Ridge, School District 42, Fraser
Health Authority, Canadian Cancer Society and the Haney
Farmers Market. More

History section. Conact us if you were involved in the 1990s

CanadaGrowSmart
The
CEED Centre is planning a province-wide pesticide alternatives education program revolving
around the CanadaGrowSmart website. For now, we have the Campaign
for Pesticide Reduction! Maple Ridge website to present
information about alternatives for healthy gardens and lawns.
Volunteer
Now
Recruiting Volunteers, especially
web-savvy researchers, drop-in centre front desk operators,
and avid gardeners.

Organic Master Gardener Course Offered in Maple Ridge
The CEED Centre will be the venue for an Organic Master Gardener course taught by Green Space Consulting principal, Gail Szostek.
